The Old Kaikoura Winery offers evening dining from 5:30pm Wednesday to Saturday.
Chef Rob, recently the Private Royal Chef for King Abdullah II, has established a unique dining experience, taking you through a journey of local fare and table theatre with rustic yet sophisticated cuisine.
Three tasting menu choices of 3 course, 7 course and a 5 course local seafood tasting menu, all showcase Kaikōura and the East Coast wilderness. From the depths of the sea to the mountain ranges native herbs and local ingredients are foraged to present a stunning array of dishes. Tasting menus will change constantly ensuring dishes are fresh and seasonal.
Pairing beverages are offered with each dish. Cocktails, aged malts and some of New Zealand’s finest wines are suggested. Or choose from our non-alcoholic beverage list.
The restaurant is open for Lunches Friday and Saturdays and Brunch on Sundays.
Our Lunch menu is designed and prepared each day based on seasonal produce availability. House smoked meats, daily catch and foraged ingredients ensure your lunch experience is an adventure through the eyes of the East Coast coastline.
Dietary requirements and sensitivities to gluten or lactose are easily considered on notification. Let us know when booking your table or tell our staff.
